Some jolly good work from our River Litter Picking team last weekend - 40 bags collected over the weekend. Plus a trolley, a tyre, a very long pipe and various bits of scrap metal. A big thank you to the LOPC team, the scouts and our alternative education group for all their hard work. 192 bags in total so far this year! Here's to a greener, cleaner future!!

*News Soars in*
Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre has just adopted part of the River Soar. This is part of a partnership agreement with the Canal and Rivers Trust to actively help look after the section from Belgrave Lock to Birstal Lock.
As part of this we will be carrying on our efforts with the River Litter Pick Team and also help to control invasive species such as Himalayan Balsam and Floating Pennywort.

Holiday Scheme! - Multi Activities and Offsite Activity Day Care!
We are running a week of Multi-Activity and Off-Site Activities Day Care during the school holiday- 9am - 6pm. Lots of fantastic activities for 5 - 16 year olds from a variety of great onsite activities to Peak District rock climbing to sailing day trips in Leicestershire. Easter Holiday Scheme!
We are now taking bookings for our Easter Holiday Scheme. We will be open from Monday 2nd April-Thursday 5th April and Tuesday 10th April-Friday 13th April. If you book before 9th March you will get 10% off your booking!
Timetables for both weeks and the booking form can be found on the website in the Holiday Scheme section. We are hoping to have our Summer Holiday Scheme up and ready to start taking bookings at Easter so watch this space!!!

LOPC would like to take the opportunity to inform its users of changes and developments within and around the Centre including:- Review of CaSE DA development plan.
- LOPC 5 year development plan.
- Open day 2012.
The floor will then be open for suggestions on:- The current facilities - are they up to your requirements?
- Your club - how can we help you: grow, improve, carry on?
- Inspired Facilities grant - what would you like to see the changing rooms look like?
- Where would we like LOPC and the site to be in 10 years time?
- Any other points raised by individuals.

Saturday Club is Changing!
Due to the growing popularity of both our Saturday Club and our Public sessions, we have decided to rebrand both under the same new title of
The Adventure Club
Membership to The Adventure Club is £3 per year, however you do not have to be a member to attend an activity session. Prices for members will remain as they are for 2012, £6 for a 90 minute session and £14 for a 3 hour session. However, prices for non-members will go up to £7 for 90 minutes and £16 for 3 hours.
Under 8's are now welcome! Previously, all activities have only been available for children aged 8 and over. We would like to offer younger children the opportunity to come along and have a go at climbing or archery. However they must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Sundays! During the summer there will now be something on offer every day of the week, as we will be running Adventure Club activities on Sundays.
