Cash Giveaway in the Leicester Mercury

LOPC has been shortlisted for the grant to be awarded by the Leicester Mercury in conjunction with the Leicestershire and Rutland Community Foundation.

We will be featured alongside the two competitors in Monday’s Mercury, the winner will receive £1000 which we hope to put towards introducing a new team challenge involving constructing a medieval catapult (trebuchet) and firing water balloons at a target.

Voting opens on Monday 15th Nov and can be done via the Mercury website or by phoning (0116) 2222205, The winner will be the one with the most votes at the end of the week.

Please find the time to forward this on to anyone you know who would support the Centre and get your votes in for us. This £1000 would make a big difference to our ability to offer this fantastic activity next year.

LOPC @ B&Q

LOPC will be taking part in the Community Week Hosted by D.I.Y Specialists B&Q on Devonshire Road in Leicester all this week! We will be conducting activity demonstrations and also the chance to find out some information about what goes on at the Centre. The Community Week was featured on BBC News last night, did you see it???
