LOPC's New River Litter Pick Team
LOPC is now recruiting for litter pickers to come and enjoy canoeing while helping to clean up the River Soar. It is completely free to join and there is no obligation once you have joined to attend every meeting. We just want enthusiastic volunteers to come along help pick some of the rubbish that plagues our river.
We will be looking to meet up every few months to spend a few hours just trying to get rid of the mountains of rubbish that finds it's way into the river.
Our first litter pick will be 28th January 12:30 to 3:30.

Absolute adventure, great fun and a worthwhile exercise picking up a mattress, kiddies toys, footballs, tyres, cans, plastics and plastic bags in a great team who turned out in difficult conditions on 31.10.2020. Pouring rain, howling winds and river swell didn't put off the dedicated team.
